Maize on wharf, 2s Gd per bushel ; store, 2s 8d ; oats, 2s Gd per bushel; chaff, £3 10s to £4 per ton ; bran, £4 10s to £4155. Horses brought forward in moderate numbers : Hacks soli from £4 to £9 10s ; light and medium draught, £7 10s to £10 15s ; heavy draught, £12 to £21 each. Wool, hides, and skins in usual supply : Stout ox sold at from 4d to 4Jd per lb ; medium, 3d to 3id ; steer and cow, to ; calfskins, 3d to 4fd per ton. Tallow, 17s to 18s Gd per cwt ; bones, £4 per ton. Sheepskins : Picked, 5s Sd each ; local, 2s 4d to 5s ; country, Is 2d to 4s lOd. Crossbred wool, fleece, 7d pet lb ; pieces, 3.* d. Cattle : Supply rather limited ; dairy and store stock without alteration in value ; fat ■ stock sold at from 20s to 23s per 1001b. Same averages of steers were: £S 17s 3d, £S 12s Gd, £8 8s Bd, £8 8s Gd, £8 Is lid, £7 lis Bd, £7 9s 9d, £7 Os 9d. Sheep in ample number for requirements, and without material alterations in value ; wethers sold at from 8s to 15s Gd ; ewes, lis to 14s 9d. Pigs sold at from 2Jd to 3d per lb live weigh;; porkers reached £1 Bs, and baconers £2 10s each. Messrs A. Buckland and Sons Report,—At the Haymarket during the past week hand-bound fodder has ranged from 3s to 4s the cwt; oats and maize are at firmer values ; maize continues at 2s Gd on the wharf, but ex store 2s 8d: oats, 2s 61 to 2s 7d the bushel; bonedust, £5; potatoes 45s tho ton. On Friday, good horses were in demand, at improved values: Draught stock ranged from £12 to £23; well-bred horses, suitable for cab, £15 to £21 each. On Tuesday, hides sold freely at late values: Heavy ox, 4pd to 4Jd ; medium, 3d to3£i; cow and light ox, l£d to 2Jd ; calfskins, 4d to 5Jd the lb; tallow, 20s the cwt; skins sold well—fresh skins were from 3s Gd to 5s 2d ; dry skins, Is to 4s each; fleece wool, 5Jd to the lb. At the special sales of farm stock, held on Saturday at Mr Matuschka's, and on Wednesday at Mr Laxon's, there were numerous buyers for farm implements of all classes. Waggons brought from £19 to £25 ; reaper and mower, £10 to £14 ; drills, £13 to £14; double furrow plough, £7 10s t > £10 ss; single furrow, £4; iron harrows, £4 12s Gd and £4 10s each. At Romuera, on Thursday, dairy cows near profit in limited number were required. Prices ruled from £3 10s to £6 10s each. Store cattle freely competed for. Three-year steers brought from 70s to 85s: yearling steers 35s to 425; heifors, 25s to 30s ; cows and grown heifer 3, 30s to 52s Gd each. Calves in usual numbers were without alteration in values. Fat cattle in full supply; 250 sold, prices irregular. Best quality at 22s ; inferior, from 18s the 1001b. Sheep in limited number; 700 sold were dull of sale at lower values. Long-wooled wethers from 13s to 17s i!d ; hoggets, 10s to lis; ewes, 7s to 10s Gd each. Pigs were of good quality; but few yarded sold at full values.
