Dalzicls' Agency published an interview with Ml- Groom, particulars of which have been cabled. Mr Groom, however, denies the responsibility for the opinion alleged respecting Kanaka labour, and declared the statements attributed to him were manufactured by the reporters. He characterised the whole production as, a gross exaggeration and states he refused to be formally interviewed.
