The draught horses were a lot of good sound young horses in good condition, and averaged £19 4i ; good hacks made £10 10 s ; plough harness made from 30s to 37s 6d per set; D. I<\ ploughs, £7 15s to £9; horsecovers, lis to 15s; mowing machine, £8 ss. champion drill, £8. AUCKLAND LIVE STOCK MARKETS. Messrs A. Buokland ani; Sons' Report.—At the Haymarket during the past week fodder has ranged from 3s 6d to 4s the cwt.; maize, 2a Gd to 2-t lOd ; oats, Is lid to 2s 6rl: barley, 2s 7d ; ryegrass, 4s Gd ; cocksfoot, 6a per bushel ; potatoes, 40s to 45s ; carrots, 25s ; chaff, £3 10s to £3 15s ; bonedust, £6 10s to £7 7s per ton. On Friday burse stock in limited number sold freely. Prices for useful animals ranged from £8 to £12. There is an inquiry for unbroken draught stock. On Tuesday hides were at lite values. Medium to heavy ox brought from 3|d to s|d ; cow and light ox, 2d to 3d ; calfskins, 3Jd to s£d per lb ; bones, £4 l"n per ton j fresh skins, 3s Gd to 5s 4d ; dry skins, Is fid to 4s each ; locks, ; wool, 5d to 6Jd per lb. At Waiuku on Saturday few cattle were yarded; those were mostly grown steers and sold freely, bringing from £3 to £4 13.5; a pen of fat oxen £0 ; cows, £4 to £6 ; dairy cows £3 10s to £4 7s Gd each. At Ramuera on Thuf.-t----day dairy cattle in moderate number kept their values; dry cows brought from £2 to £3 5s cach. Calves abundant; G8 sold ; were lower than for several markets; prices for young calves ranged from 5s to 18s cach. Fdt cattle in average number ; 230 sold; last week's values sustained, and in some instances- slightly higher prices were obtained. Steers were from 21s to 23s the 1001b. Shaep in usual supply ; 1000 sold ; prices for fat sheep advanced about Is each. Store sheep at late values; a mixed flock of aged ewes, and lambs brought 8s ; store wethers, 12s ; fat, long-woolled wethers,l4s to 17s ; crossbred wethers, 12s (id to 15s ; crossbred ewes, 8s to 12s Gd ; long-woolled ewes, lis to 15s 9d each, Pigs, in short supply, sold freely at full values. Messrs Hontku and Nolan's Wekkly Report. — Horse-feed, grain, seeds, ike. : The demand has continued brisk and the supply light, and the tendency of prices was to harden. We quote : Maize, 2s Od to 2s 8d per bushel ; oats, 2s 4d to 2s 6i ; bran, £5 tier ton ; oaten chaff, £310s ; ryegrass, 4s Gd to 5s per bushel ; cocksfoot, 6s 6! to 7s per bushel. Horses : A demand his continued at fully the previous week's values, and a large number would have found ready sale, and particularly useful farm horses. At the Durham Yards on Friday about the usual number were submitted by auction, and nearly all changed hands. We quote : Hacks, £4 to £9 10s ; medium draught, £6 10s to £17 ; heavy draught, £9 10s to £20 10s. Wool, hides, skins, bones, tallow : Unusually large quantities were pitched at the Durham Yards on Tuesday, but many of the hides were not in good order. We quote : Stout ox, 4d to 5d per lb ; medium, 3d to 3jd ; light and cow, ljd to 2|d ; kip. 2M to 3J ; stag, Id to l|d ; damaged, $d to l£d : bone.-«, £4 12s 6d to £4 15s the ton ; tailow, 15s Gd to 18s Gd per cwt; sheepskins 3s 9rl to 4 s lOd each ; picked skins, up to 5s 7d ; country, 2s Gd to 4s 4d ; broken and damaged, Sd to Is 3d each; wool, 6Jd per lb. Cattle : Again an average number have been brought forward, and found ready sale. Dairy cows were plentiful, and prices were a shade in favour of the vendor. Stores and fat beasts unaltered. The Newmarket yards were not nearly filled on Tuesday, There was a strong demand throughout and little or no alteratioas in value. Beef ranged from 20s to 24s per 1001b. A cargo of 40 grind oxen from Mr Honeyfield, of Taranaki, brought from £9 15s to £12 ss, averaging £10 10s Gd ; local £8 10s Gd, £8 9s Gd, £7 Gs Gd, £7 2.- Gd, £G 7s 61 ; cows £(! 2s 61, £5 15s, £5, £4 15s, £4. The Pukekohe yards were well filled on Wednesday, and there was a eood attendance of buyers. We quote : Heifer calves, l(is to 27s Gd ; yearlings, 27s Gd to 3Gs ; eighteen mouths old steers, £2 15s to £3 10s ; grown steers, £4 to £5 2s Gd ; dry cows, £2 to £2 17s Gd. Sheep were penned in moderate numbers at Newmarket en Tuesday. Wethers sold at from 9s 9d to 17s each ; owes, 9s to 13s Gd. Tigs : Only small ones yarla J, and sold at from (h to ISs each. AUCKLAND PRODUCE MARKETS. (BY TF.LKGRAI'H—OWN CORRESPONDENT.) Auckland Last Night.— In the local produce markets prices are as follows : — Ilest dairy butter is Is, second quality lOd, and third quality 9d per lb wholesale. Eggs are very plentiful, and are now 8d per dozen wholesale, and lOd per dozen retail. Cheese, Gd to Hams and bacon, 5Jd to G.id. Oats. 2s 41 : maize, 2s Gd. Potatoes; £2 Us to £2 15s.
