Messrs Duncan and Sandford opposed the proposal to rescind to vote ,-f censure while Mr Bryce refused to make submission to the ruling of tho chair. Mr Guinness regarded the whole proceedings as an utter farce. After dinner, Mr Seddon said he had no personal feeling regarding this matter, but he thought that too much had been made of it. Mr Fish believed that the Government occupied a contemptible, if not a ridiculous position.
