WAITOA ROAD BOARD
Tim ordinary moi.ihly meeting of 'ho above-named B mrd took place in the Nottingham Castle Hotel, Mori insville, on Saturday. Present : Messrs W P. Chepmell (in the chair), J. Horrell, W. Main and R. Par". The valuation roll having been received from Hie Commissioner of Taxes, it was found that the ratable value i>f the district is nearly £29,000 lower than under last valuation ; consequently, the Board decided to strike a half-penny rate. The Board has had no notice when the books for the year ended 31st March last arc to bo audited. The engineer was instructed to act. repairs done on the Richmond Road between Walton station and the. Waitoa river Repairs are also to be done on Taylor's Road, at a cost of £10 lis, of which Owen McCabe is to pay half. Repairs aro also to be done on Stanley Road. Tho engineer reported that. Owen McCubo bad finished his contract on Stanley Road, and that G. C. Deverell had finished bis contract on Burbridgn's Road. Accounts amounting to £141 Is Id were passed for payment.
