(BY ELECTRIC TELEGRAPH, —COPYRIGHT.) London, August 3. Titk Simla correspondent of the Times wires that the Russians are occupying tho Pamir in force. They cover the approach to India by the passes of tho Hindoo Koosh, and are holding the country recently abandoned, and are enlisting tho Khirgiz^tribesmen. The Russians have three separate forces in the Pamirs, one of them facing Kashgar. Calcutta, August :5. The Viceroy of India is sending a ?■' party of twenty officers to watch Gilghit, near the Pamir. The statement that the Viceroy is sending a mission to tho Ameer of Afghanistan is officially confirmed.
