'•cjkxekal" Booth held a great meeting in Exeter Hall to celebrate the twenty-seventh anniversary of the foii::dution of the Sanation Army. Tn the course of his address ho declared that England owed him £<JO,OIO on account of hifl " Darkest Euglaud," and he challenged an enquiry into the administration of'.that scheino. His mission to India and the Australian colonies resulted in a profit of £2000, despite the allegations that he and his party had been extravagant during the tour.
