Changes in produces aro ho unimportant that we need not report at extended length. -Supplies of potatoes hrtvo been sufficient tj meot the demand, Trices ate the same as last week, There is improved inquiry for seed varieties, except Shepherd's, which are difficult to sell. This and next month should seo considerable activity in planting. Market for cereals quiet. Maize, Is lid, ex wharf. Oats have advanced in the South, and holders there are not anxious to sell largely at present. Onions ivre in plentiful supply, the demand Doing limited. Dairy produce in strong request. First-class butter has been in fair supply, also second and third grades, no alteration in price. Keg butter has been wanted for the Islands, and the demand next week will also be Rood. Cheese is coming in slowly and more is wanted. New cure local hams and bacon arrived in very fair quantity. Factory cure has been placed wholesale in large parcels. The prospects of an improvement in Southern hams may be anticipated at an early dute. Kggs are more abundant and have receded in value. Fruit : Shipments from Sydney ani Hobart arrived in splendid order, and commanded improved rates. Poultry : Supplies were smaller than usual. Is Id to Is 4d ; Taranaki dairy-made, Is id : separator, Is 3d to Is Gel; roll, Is Id; prime fresh, Is 4}d to Is od ; medium, Is 3d; inferior, Is. Eggs have already increased in quantity, and sold at lOd to Is. Lard in kegs, 4Jd; bladders, 3d. Honey : Tinned, 3s to 3Jd ; section, 3d to 3Jd. Cheese : A good quantity to hand. Taranaki factory, 5Jd to Gd; loaves, Gd to GJd ; local dairy, 4id to sd. Bacon and hams to hand in good quantity, with satisfactory demand. Bacon : Prime, 51 to G;',d ; medium, 4d to 4jd ; inferior, 2kl to 3Ad. Fruit: But little local of any kind to hand. Apples are without change in value, although thore is a stronger demand for dessert kinds ; local lot?, lfd to 2Jd ; extra choice, 2J_d ; Ilobart tipples, Gs 9d to 3s per caso ; Syduey mandarins), 10s per case; oranges, Ss ; local, 3s Gd to sd, and G|d to B£d per dozen. Lemons in strong demand, large Is to Is 2d, small 7M to 10d. Bannuas, 11G4 bunches ex s.s. Ovaiau realised as follows : Good lines, 2a 4d to 3s per bunch ; small and damaged, Is 3d to I°. 9d.
