REYNOLDS AND CO.S BUTTER FACTORIES.

(BY TELEGRAPH — OWN CORUHSI'ONDENT.) Cambuidgr, Last Night. The annual meeting of the Pultekura milk suppliers was hald at the factory, yesterday morning, at 9 a.m., the whole of the suppliers being present, and Messrs R. Reynolds and Farley Represented the firm. Previous to the meeting Mr Farley gave an exhibition of Babcock's new milk tosts which the firm intend using in the future, and upoc the results given by the machine the suppliers will be paid, that is by the percentage of butter fat contained in the milk. The test is undeniably a true one, and will soon settle this much vexed question of milk tenting. In next issue we will give a report of the method adopted by Dr. Babcoclc. After the trial of the tester, the meeting of suppliers was held, Mr T. W. Hicks being voted to the chair. Mr Reynolds said the main business of the meeting was to let the suppliers know what terms the firm intended offering for the forthcoming year, whi;h commences next September. He said the trade done did not warrant an advance being made, but aB his firm wanted to increase the output—for they could deal with a much larger quantity at little or no more expense—they had decided to offer an advance. The prices would be per gallon of lOJlb, with 10 per cent, of cream, each per cent, over that amount to be $d in addition, and each per cent, under &d less, for September, October, November, and December, 2Jd per gallon ; for January, February, and March, 2Ad ; for April and May, 3d; and for June, July, and August, 4d. Those who supplied continuously tor the first nine ironths would also receive a bonus of per gallon in addition to the prices above mentioned for those months, as an incentive to keep up the supply and give the firm a bigger turnover. The chairman said he thought the bonus should be forfeited unless the supplier sent milk to the factory for the whole year. Messrs Reynolds' interests were identical with their own, and he moved that at the Pukekura factory the bonus be forfeited unless the supply is kept up throughout the year. This motion found two or three seconders, and was unanimously agreed to. Several other formal business matters were discussed, and then a hearty vt.te of thanks was accorded Messrs Reynolds and Co., bat we shall return to the subject again in our next issue, having in this brief notice given only a rough statement of the prices offered for milk for the forthcoming year by Messrs Reynolds and Co.
