WAIKATO AGRICULTURAL AND PASTORAL ASSOCIATION.

A meeting of the exocutive committee of the above Association was held in Mr McNicol's office at Hamilton on Thursday. There were preaent Messrs Jno. Fisher, (chairman), M. Butler, (Secretary), J. McNicnl, N. I. Hunt, Gen. Kdgecumbe, M. H. Pickering and G. E. Clark. An additional number of litta were recoived by tlio secretary, making the total amount subscribed up to date £325 14s. This amount was considered by the members to be very encouraging. Messrs McNicol, Hunt, Barugh and Pickeriog were appointed a committee to superintend the erestinn of the yards and the general preparation of the ground. In order that a general canvass of the district may be better | carried out. the secretary was instructed to call in all the books from the general committee, and the executive committee were appointed a finance committee to supervise the collection of subscriptions in the various districts. The first and second prizes in all the classes were fixed at £2 and £1 respectively, and an extra class for thoroughbred mares (dry) was added to tho show. Mr R. Reynolds was appointed canvasser on behalf of the Association in Auckland. The following rule was added to the schedule : —Any exhibitor wishing to remove his stock from the show grounds at the close of the first day's show may do so by depositing with ihe secretary the sum of £2 for each exhibit removed, this sum to be forfeited if the atock so removed be not yarded by 9 30 a.m on the second day.
