Friday.—(Before Captain Jackson, R.M.) Byr-laws.—Geo. Edgecumbe was charged with a breach of the bye-laws of tho Borough of Hamilton by negilently allowing a chimney on his premises to be on fire. Defendant pleaded guilty and was fined 5s and costs 7s.—Annie McGarrigle was charged with a similar offence, A letter was received from the defendant admitting the offence, but the case was adjouned in ~rder to allow her to be present. At 2 o'clock Mrs McGarrigle not bowg present the case was heard in her absence. She was found guilty and fined 5s and costs 7s. Absentees. —TheKirikiriroa Road Board sued Henry Dixon or owner for the recovery of lis 2d rates due on Lot 206, pariah of North Newcastle, Captain McPherson, clerk and collector to the Board, appeared and save evidence as to demande having been duly served, etc. The R.M. reserved his judgment until next Court day. Hospital Fees.—The Waikato Hospital and Charitable Aid Board sued H. Hickton for £4 4s for treatment at the Hospital.— Judgment was given for amount claimed and costs, 6s, to b6 naid at 10a per month.— Same v. F. W. Still: claim, £2 2s.—Judgment for amount and costs, 6f, to be paid at 10a per month.—Same v. W. Mahlindine: claim, £4. —Judgment far amount and costs, 6s, to be paid at 10s per month.—Same ▼. A. J. Stewart: claim, £2 4s; 12s had been paid into Court.— Judgment was given for balance and costs, 12s, to be paid at 10s per month. C. Frodsham v. Jno. Hughes and Eliza Hughes.— Claim. £60 14s: dishonoured P.N. Mr A. Swarbrick for Mr Hay appeared for the defendants, an J Mr R. W. Dyer for plaintiff. Some evidence had been heard in this case last Court day, but the case had been adjourned to enablo defendant to obtain more evidence. Th 6 attention of the Court was occupied all day.—The R.M. gave judgement tor the plaintiff for £50 10s 6d and costs, £6 3s, the amount to be paid in 14 days.
