AUCKLAND PRODUCE MARKETS. Messrs Esam and Arthur's Wekklt Report.—A busy week : Monday, Bale at mart of pledges, fair prices obtainod. Tuesday, sale at mart, furniture. Wednesday, mart, Hobart truit, and sale of fruit trees, etc., from H. Ross, of Waihou : a fine lot of peach, apple, and plum trees brought lair prices. A good demand has been maintained for all sorts of produce, Potatoes move off freely : Waikatoes, £2 10a to £2 153, sacks extra ; Napier, £2 5s to £2 10s ; magnum bonsm (seerl), £•}; Shepherd, do., £'j to £5. Onions : Lwe quantity of inferior entered,but are difficult to sell at any price ; good samples are worth £3 10s to £4 10s. Grain remains at last week's quotations. Fresh butter advanced fully 2d per lb atyesteH.iy'ssale, bringing Is 3Jd to la 4id for first, and Hid to Is Id for second, leaving an unsatisfied demand. Salt butter is in very short supply ; a much larger quantity could be sold at from 9d to lid for first, and 7d to 8d for second. Guaranteed eggs are scarce, price Is 3d to Is4id. Cheese is very scarce indeed. Uest dairies 42d to ; other makes, 4d to 4sd. Bacon : Local cure meets ready sale, at from 5d to GJd ; hums, 6d to7Jd. The following prices were Tealised at Friday's sale :—Waikato potatoes, £2 10s to £2 15s for best: inferior ditto, £2 sacks extra ; Southern, £2 fn to £2 10s ; Magnum lionura seed, £4 ; Shepherd ditto, £3 to £5; carrots, £110s j pumpkins, £2 to £2 103 ; piomelons, £1 to £1 si; onions, £3 10s to £4 10a per ton, id to gd per lb ; oats, 23 2d to 2s 3d ; maize, 2s 2d ; sharps, £4 103 ; lir.in, £4 10*. Aitkkn's Market Report for the week ending June 18.— During the week business has been fairly active, and g.ind quantities of general produce have been quitted at satisfactory values. Farm produce has'shown no change in value, while dairy produce of all kinds has sold at high prices, and supply all round far short of tho demand. Fruit: The supply continues large. Lemons have sold well, and apples have been dull and lower in value, in consequence of tho quantities of Hobarts arriving to a fairly full markofc. Potatoes have come to hand in good quantities, and found ready sale. Waikatos : A few linos to hand have been of good quality, and realised from £2 10s to £2 15a; £2 12s Gd to £3; Napier, good £2 10s to £2 Ifo, poor £2 us; Taranaki Brown Rivers, £2 15a; Canterbury selected kidney seed, £4 10s : local Magnum Bonum, 3* Gd to 4s Gd ; Early Rose, 7s. Shepherds' unsaleable, except for cow feed, at 30s to 40s. Pumpkins have eold freely at 2s ta 4a por cwt. Mangolds, 203 to 28s ; horse carrots, 25s to 30s Onions have been in better demand, and five tons of prime Canterburys have been cleared at an average of £4 10s ; prime local, id to Jd ; poor, 6d to Is per bag. Maize, quitted in quantities, at 2s 2d, ox store, and Is lid ex ship ; oats, short feed, 2s 4d to 2s 6d ; bran and sharps, £5 ; good feed barley, 3s 3d ; wheat, good fowl feed, has sold freely at 3s to 3s 4d; vegetables entered in lari?e quantity, and sold at good values. Butter, fair supply : Prime fresh, Is 4d to Is 5Jd ; medium, Is 3d to Is 3.Jd; keg butter, about fifty kegs to hand, sold on arrival; really prime keg, Is to Is Id ; medium, 10d to lid ; pastry, to 9Jd ; Taranaki potted, Is Id to la 2id ; Taranaki separator. Is 3d to Is 4d. Eggs, moderate supply, with good demand, at Iβ 3d to Is 5d ; pickled, lid to Is. Cheese, very scarce: Good dairy made, 5d ; poor, 4d to -lid ; factory loaves, s.}d to Gd. Lard : In kogs, 4Jd ; bladder.?, 3d. Honey, demand beyond supply : Tinned, 3d to 3.W ; section, 4s per dozen. Bacon and hams of local cure to hand in good quantity, all cleared, really prime, well got up bacon, 5d to Gd : hams, 6Ad to 8d ; poor lots, 2d to 4|d. Apples : Prime local, 2d to 2Jd ; poor and damaged, l.Jd to ljjd. Lemons have been in eucd supply and demand ; small, 6J>,d to B.W ; large, lid to Is 3sd ; Cape g<H*?oberria<i, to ; tomatoes, ripe, ljd to ljd ; greeu, 6d to Iβ per case.
