The disease was then in the fifth day stage. The patient was staying at the Victoria Coffee Palace, when tho nature of the disease was discovered, and tho building has been quarantined. A girl who was nearly convalescent when the steamer rouslicd Australia, also landed at Melbourne, where it was found she had been suffering from the same disease. Tho house has been isolated. A rigorous search is being niado in the various ports where tho steamer touched, for passengers who have landed.
