Oregon lanneis in America consider they have raised the value of their butter and sheep lands £8 pet-acre through u-ing lime. Surton and Sons, the famous Engli-h seedsmen, slate Devonshire far i-ers alone lost £100,OOu through not dressing their turnip lands with lime ; they consider lime as as essential element in farming anstuck raising. \V. Brydone, Esq., of the l< dend.ile Estate, Dunediu, states lie uses 400 to COO tons of lime per annum on light medium soils for oats and turnips, at an annual cost of 42s Cd per acre, aud considers it pays him back out of tirst crop, but that the good ejects are lasting in the soil. We are authorised to refer to Messrs Isaac Coates, Edgecumbe, Latham, Parr, Mason, Exelby, Munro, Mullins, Odium, and others who have used and proved our lime to be valuable in turnip, oats, grass, potatoes, wheat, orchard, aud other lands.
