Bucklanh and Sons' Report.—At tho Haymarket during the past weok meadow hay has ranged from 2s 3d to 3s 3d ; oaten sheaves, 2s to 2s (id ; pressed hay, 3s fid ; chaff, 2s fid to 3s the cwt. ; feed oats, 2s to 2s3d ; dun oats, 2s (id ; maize, 2a nnd 2s Id the bushel. On Friday horse stock, in moderate supply, were not so freo ot sale as of late. A smart hunter brought £25 ; useful medium draught, from £7 to £12 : riding horses, £4 to £11 each. On Tuesday hides kept their values. Best stout ox brought from 4|d to4Jd ; medium, 2jd to 3Sd ; litrht ox and cow, lid to ; calfBkins, od to the lb. Tallow, 20s fid the cwt. Sheepskins brought good prices, and mostly ranged from 2s 0d to 4s 8d each. At PukeUohe, on Monday.there was a large iniHter of stock, and a full attendance of buyers. Dairy caws were in brisk inquiry, prices ranping from £3 to £8 : two-year-old steers, £2 lfis ; calves, 14s to 28s each. At tho private snlr* held at Messrs Percy and Wills on Saturday, and Mr Stewart's on Wednesday, the attendance was unusually numerous, and satisfactory prices were obtained throughout. At Remueru, on Thursday, dairy cattle yarded in full numbers kept late values ; all young promisin» cows nenr calving brouehfc fronj £5 to to £8 10s ; dry cows, 30s to 60s : two-year-old atoors, 47s each. Fat calves, in less than TOiiisil number, sold well, and young calves ware higher in priue than for some weeks. Fab cattln in usual nnmbpr, 240 yardod.sold freely ; steers of fair to good quality, were in demand at from 19s to 20s the 1001b. Shp.ep. in le3s than usual number, were slightly better worth. Pigs, also in short supply, wßre at late values. Messrs Hunteb and Nolan's Report.— Grain, seeds, horse-feed, etc.: A steady demand has existed, and the supply has been limited, consequently prices had an upward tendency. We quote : Oats, 2s to 2s 4d per bushel; maize, 2s to 2s 2d ; bran, £4 par ton ; chad, £2 10s to £2 15s ; ryegrass, 4s 6d to 5a per bushel; cocksfoot, (is t'> 7s. Horses : An increased number wore brought forward, and there was a steady demand at prices in favour of the vendor. More than usual were submitted by auction, on Friday, at the Durham Yards, and were well competed for. We quote hacks from £4 10s to £10 5s ; light-harness and medinm draught, £5 10s to £13 10s; heavy draught, £12 10s to £19 10a. A draft of unbroken colts and fillies suitable for saddle and light-harness sold at from £4 7s 6d to £9. Wool, hides, ikius, bones and tallow: Average quantities were submitted at the Durham Yards on Tuesday; competition was brisk. We quote: Stout ox, 4d to 5d per lb; medium, 3d to 3Jd; cow and steer, ljd to 3A ; light and damaged, lid to lid ; calfskins, 2id to 4|d per lb ; tallow, 16s to 18s 6d per cwt ; rough fat. l£d to lid per lb ; sheepskins. Iβ 4d to os 6d each : lambskins, Is 6d to 2s each ; bones, £4 15s to £5 per ton. Cattle : The numbor brought forward has been barely up to the average. A steady demand has continued, with little or no alteration in value. There was a moderate supply at Newmarket on Tuesday, and a good one at Pa-pakura on Wednesday. Buyers were numerous, and prices were relatively higher at the latter market for dairy and store stock, but there was not sufficient to warran b a. difference in quotations as compared with those previously given. Top sorts of f.it. boasts reached 20s por lOOlbs ; insufficiently fatted sold for 16s. Some averages of steers were : £7 15s 4d, £G 12s fid, £fi, £5 I?><4r| ; cdwb—£s 12s fid, £o 2s fid, £4 fix, £■". 17a fid, £3 15s. Sheep : The Newmarket pens, or; Tuesday, were fairly filled, and lot? well competed for, wethers ranging trom 11s Gd to 17s 3d ; ewas, 10s to 11s 9rl ; lambs, Gs 3d to 9s Gd. Pigs : Only small pigs were yarded, aud sold at from oa 6d to 15a Gd each.
