FATAL DROWNING.
(by telegraph.—press association). New Plymouth, Last Night. Mr Shaw, second engineer at the Waitara freezing works, was drowned at six o'clock this morning off Waitara. He was engaged putting frozen meat on the Rimutaka, and on gotting from the steamer to a punt the rope slipped, and Shaw and another man fell into the sea. The latter was saved but Shaw was drowned. The body was found.
