IJ.Kir-l on Wednesday May 11 tli. 18SI2, nt2p.m. Present.: Messrs Cnr'bov, Cnrbett, Fn.<:ill, and Blackett.— The clork reported his having been notified by tho Roturninp Officer of tlifi election of Mhs-m Corbuy, GVrbett, F.ix;dl, and Blackott to office :is rneiabprn of the Board, and of tho extraordinary vacancy created, for which two candidates had been nominated.—The clerk having informed the members that tho first business to be donn was tho appointment <>f chairman for tlio yrtir, Mr Cnrbett proposed that Mr Corhoy be chairman for tho year. —Mr Corhny requested to be excused from the appointment, as ho did not intend to net as chairman this year. If« said ho had heen chairman many years and that although he had on several occasions attempted to ftet other members to occupy the position he had failed. There were Messrs Foxa-ll and Corbett, who had all the ability and other qualifications necessary to iiiake a pood chairman. Hβ thereforn had much pleasure in proposing that Mr Foxall bo chairman for the year.—Messrs Foxall and Oorbett having declined to accept the pi sition, finally, on the motion of Mr Foxall, seconded by Mr Blackett, Mr Corboy was re-appointed} chairman for the year.—The ininute.s of tho annual meeting of the Board were then read and confirmed.—The clerk was instructed to furnish Mr Saulbery with an account of expenses of closing a road, with the value of the land and fee for valuator, and to inform him that on payment of the balance due, the Board would complete the transfer of the land to him.— The clerk was directed to sue fur outstanding ratea after the 18th instant. —The Board decided to relinquish all claim or right they might have to a road through Bomfrey'a swamp.—A small account was passed for payment when the Board dis-
