ACCIDENT AT WHATAWHATA.

* One of Mr Waite'e teams that are at present employed in carting the sand upon the road contract for the Waipa County Council, near Whatawhata, took fright at something and made a bolt for it, on Thursday afternoon. The driver was thrown out, and the dray, corning in contact with one of the numerous briar bushes, made a complete somersault. The shafts were broken clean off, being thrown back over the cart. Fortunately, both driveraud horses escaped uninjured. The episode will, however, cost Mr Wnita some delay and a new pair of shafts.
