The consignment will be obtained in tho East, and will come to hand in the cattle expert stc-amrr, which is due here shortly. A thousand nuts will arrive to the private order of Mr Holtze, who intends planting them at the jungle, whore his father owns a very choice strip of land ; ami Air Daniels, who lias already met with some success in cocoanut cultivation, has 500 to come to hand by tho same op portunity. With regard to the special shipments of cocoanuts, the intention at present is to plant some at the quarantine ground, and forward lots to the Daly River and to Mr Stretten at tho MacM'thur, and generally to make as much as possible out of the consignment. Tho thousand planted at the gardens three years ago are maturing remarkably well, and one other palm, which is now in its fourth year, should, from present indications, return its first crop of fruit next year. In two or three years' time cocoanuts should beas plentiful as pineapples."
