CUSIOMS RETURNS.
(IJY TELEGRAPH.—PRESS ASSOCIATION.) Wellington, Last Night. The Customs duties collected in the colony during April, the first month of the new financial year, amounted to £130,453 14s Gd, as against £132,53G 6s lOd in the corresponding month of last year. Auckland contributed £31,807 8s Gd; Wellington, £29,443 0s Gd ; Dunedin, £25,41S 10s ; and Christchurch, £20,414 9s 4d. During last month, the amount of beer duty collected in the colony was £5,099 Ss 9d, as against £499S 8s 9d in the corresponding month of last year. Dunedin's contribution was £1180 0s lid ; Auckland, £11(12 ; Christchurch, £988 4s Gd ; Wellington, £552 15s 7d.
