SOUTH AUCKLAND PACING CLUB'S AUTUMN MEETING. With lino weather on Saturday next the autumn meetimr "f tho South Auckland Racing Club should pnnca great success Tlih acceptances am the heat that h:>ve been received and the. racing "hniild provide keen sport, the course being in tip-top ouW having received special attention from the hun. secretary, Mr (I. H Carter, who has the interests of theClnhnt heart. A special train service has been arranged so as to afford every facility for attending the meeting which has lone since 1 een recognised as the metropolitan meeting of Waikato, nnd one which ranks high among the sportintt events of the province. As at t!i" Christmas meeting, three tntalisatirs will bo worked, and as they will he under the Htipervision of Mr BloomfiVld and his efficient staff the public may expect every attention in that respect. We understand that Hunter's Band (Auckland), has been enzaged and will nrrive by the excursion train. The Club will, as in past years, prohibit any games of chance being played on the course and the gentry who carry on this business might save themselves the trouble of attending, as their presence is not required and only gives rise to unpleasantness in which they generally coineolf second best. No doubt the sentence passod on Woods after the summer meeting wMI have a deterrent effect. On Saturday we will publish some anticipations for the various events. The first raco, tho Welter, will start sharp at a quarter past twelve, and the other seven events are timed to be run off between that time and a quarter past five.
Two stewards will be on the c nirsc at 3.30 p.m. to-morrow, and at 0.30 a.m. on Saturday, to measure ponies engaged in the meetine. . ~ Race books will be ready for delivery to runners to-morrow afternoon at this office. __^ AUCKLAND RACING CLUB'S AUTUMN MEETING.
