THE WINDSOR MURDER.
[HY ELECTRIC TELKORAI'II— COPYRKiIIT.I Meliio'trxe, April li). Mr M, Lyltc, Deoming's counsel, has notified the Crown Prosecutor that he intends to ask for an adjournment of Deoming's trial, on the grounds that he is unable to prepare the defence by Monday, and also that, owing to the state of public feeling, the accused is unlikely to obtain an impartial trial just now. Deeming alleges that a warder in Albany gaol shaved oft' his moustache and says he invented the glass story iu order to shield that official.
Mr Lyle has written to a firm of London solicitors, asking them to enquire as to Dceming's early life, and also to ascertain whether there is any truth in the statement that he was confined in a lunatic asylum in 1871.
