PATEKANGI V. TUHIKABAMEA. The ratura match between the above clubs was played in one of Mr J. H. Scott's paddocks at Paterangi on Saturday last, and after an enjoyable game, resulted in another win for the Paterangi Club by 24 runs, both innings being played out. Mr Lang, the Tahikarainea explain, won the toss, and as the wicket was anything bub a good one, he elected to take the field first. Richdale and McFarlane were the first two to face the bowling of Beid and Drabble, who both bowled well, and no stand was made by any of the batsmen, the innings closing for 21. Tuhikaramea then made 37 before being disposed of, J. liayne being top score with 11. After lunch Paterangi made their second essay, and put together a respectable total of 81, of which 0. Bowden made 22, Woraley 15, Richdale 14, and F. Bowden 12. With 65 runs required to win, Tnhikaramea took the wickets again, but failed to make more than 41, only Lang setting into double figures with 15. For Paterangi C. Bowden—who bowled all through the match—got the bulk of the wickets, viz., 12 wickets tor 40 runs, while for Tuhikaramea, Reid and Drabble were most destructive.
