CHRISTCHURCH LIVE STOCK MARKETS. The New Zealand Loan and Mercantile Agency Company report under date, CHRiaTOHUUCH, March 18. —Store sheep : The capacity of the apace allotted to this class was again taxed. The entry w>l3 vary mixed, and, as a rule, in small lines. The attendance was good, but bidding was leas spirited than of late, although there is still a Rood demand for young sheep. Values for all classes were somewhat easier, and especially so for lambs and aged crossbred ewes. Sound-mouthed crossbred ewes brought up to 12s Id, crossbred lambs 83 to 10s, two and four-tooth crossbreds 11s to lls.—Fat sheep : The effects of a good season were apparent in this class yesterday, botli as regards the size and quality of the supply, A number of lines of really prime freozers were noticeable, and attracted good competition from exporters. Store cattle: A small market, consisting of dry cows, a few yearlings, and several bulls constituted the day's business hore. A good demand met all lots, and the entry was easily quitted.
