FRUIT EXPORT.
(BY TELEGRAPH.—PRESS ASSOCIATION), < Wellington, Last Night. Mr HaNLON, the fruit expert, has forwarded his report to the Minister of Lands, making various sueeestions as improvements in the cool chambers in the steamers, and the method of handling fruit when shipping. He says at prjsent it is greatly knocked about, and wants supervision also better slings. He suggests the use of the uniform size American shaped cases which would save 40s per 100 cases in freight, and 9s 5d in cost, and also recommends that a small subsidy of say £10 per 50 acres of orchard be granted.
