CRICKET.

HAMILTON' V. TAUPIIII. Thk third cricket match this season between the above clubs was played on Sydney Square, Hamilton, on Saturday, and resulted in a win for the home team by 7 wickets. The trains were captained by Messrs C. J. W. Barton and E. B. Cox, respectively, for Himilton and Taupiri. Taupiri won the toss and elected to bat, but could make no stand against the howling. Hammond being particularly destructive, taking 0 wickets, but owing to tho bowling analysis not being kept properly this innings, we are unable to give the figures. The innings closed for 19 runs. Hamilton in their first innings scored 3(i, Fielder being top score with 12 (not out). Taupiri made a better stand in the second innings, making oo before being disposed of, to which Gleeson contributed 11 and Hall 1G (not out). Hamilton required 3!) runs to win, which were obtained with the loss of 3 wickets, Browning making 20 (not out). Appended are the scores :—
