The Government intend next session to offer bonuses for the establishment of creameries and dairy factories in the colony, the system having worked with good results in Victoria. The Government also intend to institute supervision at the ports to see that the butter sent away is properly branded, and what it represents. Mr McKenzie is collecting information, and will draw up the regulation papers, for > the Income Tax returns, to be sent out in I April, and a fortnight will be allowed to make them up. The Land Tax returns are ', now nearly complete, and Boards of Kβr viewers have been appointed. It is hoped 1 that the exact amount payable will be r known in the middle of May.
