HANDICAP MAIDEN HURDLE RACE, of 7sovs. ; lsov. out of stakes to go to second horse. For horses that have not run in an advertised hurdle race, Distance, 1J miles, over C flights of hurdles about 3ft. 6in. high. Entrance, 7s.
2. MAIDEN PLATE HANDICAP, of 7sovs. ; lsov. out of stakes to go to second horse. For horses that never won an advertised race. Distance, 7 furlongs. Entrance, 7s. 3. TAWHARE CUP HANDICAP, of 15sovs. ; 2sovs. out of stakes to go to second horse. For horses that have never won a race over £15. Distance, miles. Entrance, 15s. 4. PONY RACE HANDICAP, of 6 sovs. ; lsov. out of stakes to go to second horse ; 14 hands 2 inches and under. Distance 1 mile. Post entry. Entrance, 6s. ! 5. HANDICAP HURDLE RACE, of 12sovs. ; 2sovs. out of stakes to go to second hoi'3e. For horses that have never won a hurdle race exceeding £12 in value. Distance 2 miles, over 8 flights of hurdles about 3 feet 6 inches high. Entrance, 12s. 6. SETTLERS' RACE HANDICAP (Local), of lOsovs. ; 2 sovs. out of stakes to go to second horse. For horses that have not won a race exceeding £10 in value. Distance 1J miles. Gentlemen riders. The horse to have been the bona fide property of owner for not less than 3 months previous to race, Entrance 10s. 7. SELLING RACE HANDICAP, of lOsovs. Distance 1 mile. Post entry. The winner to become the absolute property of the Club, and to be sold immediately after race. Entrance, 10s. 8. MAORI RACE of 3sovs. Catch weights. Distance limiles. Entrance 3s. RULES. All nominations to be sent to the Secretary not later than S p.m, on Saturday, 9th April. All entries to be accompanied with the necessary amount in cash. Nominators to state age, pedigree, and performance of horse with colours of riders. Thrte horses to start or no race. Local takes in all within a radius of 7 miles including Woodlands and Morrinsville. Protests to be lodged with Secretary event,and accompanied by a deposit of 10s in writing, within 10 minutes after the 6d., which will go to the funds of the club if protest be not sustained. R. G.
