SPORTS AT CAMBRIDGE.
The athletic Sports at Catnbridgo on Tlmrs day were fairly well attended. Owing ti our reporter attending the Horticulture Show wo are unable to give an extendec report. The following is n list of tin winners as supplied to us : — Maiden' Flat Rack.— Lovell, 1; Brown, 2Cambridge Ccp, (first stage, 100 yds.)Walker, 1; Corboy, 2; Lovell, 3. Cambridge Cdp, (second stage 220 yds.)Walker, 1; Lovell, 2 ; Corboy, 3. Cambridge Cur, (third stage, 440 yds.)Lovell, 1: Walker, 2 ; Corboy, 3. Walkei therefore won the Cup. High Jump.— J. McNoish and R. Han non tied at. 5 feet 5 inches and divided. Hurdle Race. —Burt, 1; Kusabs, 2 Walker, 3. Married Mens' Race.—McMillan, 1 Bach, 2. Mile Race. —McFarlana and Burt wor the only starters. However, neither o theni went the proper course and they wer ordered to run it again, but having agreei to divide the stake it was only jogged Some of the committee talked of vvitholdim the stakes, but we have not heard how th' matter was decided.
