SUTTON'S UNEQUALLED CLOVER SEEDS SUTTON'S HARDIEST CLOVER SEEDS All of proved purity and high vitality, At Prices which Defy Competion for Seeds of the Highest Quality. SUTTON'S CLOVERS. SUTTON'S BROAD BED CLOVER (Trifolium pratense)—Greedily eaten by all stock, and unequalled for sheep pasturage. Clover exercises a valuable influence towards the improvement of the fertility of the soil by its capacity for collecting nitrogen from the atmosphere, and sandy soils and sandy loams receive great benefit from the intermixture of rich organic matters provided by the clover roots. SUTTONS' WHITE OR DUTCH CLOVER (Trifolium repetis)— Always considered essential in the best pastures; one of the most important food producers for sheep runs. Reliable quality very scarce. SUTTONS' ALSYKE OR HYBRID CLOVER (Trifolium /lybridiumj—Produces enormous crops of food under favourable conditions. Often answers admirably where red clover does not succeed well. Flowers of a distinct light pfnk colour. SUTTONS' COW GRASS (Trifolium pratense perennej—Very robust habit. Possesses a strong and penetrating root, and has a long and less woolly leaf than red clover. SUTTONS' GIANT HYBRID COW CLOVER (Trifolium pratense hybr'ulium giganteum Suttoni)— A valuable clover introduced by Sutton and Sons, a cross between common red clover and cow grass. On good land grows about three feet high, yields a greater weight per aero than any other clover, and will often succeed on clover sick land.? The seed cannot be distinguished from that of red clover, and consequently spurious stocks cannot be detected by sample. SUTTONS' BOKHARA CLOVER (Melilotus Leucantha) —Sweet scented clover. Very productive, attaining the height of six feet when in bloom. An excellent plant for bees. SUTTONS' TIMOTHY, OR MEADOW CATS TAIL GRASS (Phleum pratense)—Yields abundant feed, which all stock greatly relish.
