WRONGFUL ARREST.

London, March 10. Mr J. W. Lowther, Political Secretary to the Foreign Office, stated in the Houso of Commons that action would be brought against the French police for wrongful arrest and imprisonment in Paris of the brothers Purdill,twoEnglishmen. It was a grave matter, and he trusted the French Government woidd pay compensation and guarantee to prevent the recurrence of sueh an incident.
