Washington, March 11. lx the ovont of Lord Salisbury persisting in his refusal to agrco to a renewal of the modus vivondi the United States will blockade the Behrina: Son. Worships avo making preparations to carry out thu blookade, and also to refuse all vessels entrance to the scaling grounds. The section of the press which supports President Harrison continues to innko violent attacks on England. It is announced that President Harrison has issued notice to the effect that retaliatory measures will be taken against thosn countries which refuse tc adopt reciprocal trade relations with the United States becuuse of the provisions of the McKinley Act. The Cabinet are waiting for Lord Salisbury to distinctly define his policy with regard to the Behring Sea, feefore taking further steps in the matter. Ottawa, March 11. The Free Press newspaper published in Ottawa, declares that the people of America will never sanction war with Great Britain on account of the Behring Sea squabble. On the other hand it believes Lord Salisbury vvould sacrifice the interests of Canada rather than have serious trouble with tho United States.
