SUTTON'S BROAD RED CLOVER (Trifolium pratense)—Greedily eaten by all stock, and unequalled for sheep pasturage. Clover exercises a valuable influence towards the improvement of the fertility of the soil by its capacity for collecting nitrogen from the atmosphere, and sandy soils and sandy loams receive great benefit from the intermixture of rich organic matters provided by the clover roots. Flowers of a distinct light pink colour. SUTTONS' COW GRASS (Trifolium pratensc pcreiincj—Very rcbust habit. Possesses a strong and penetrating root, and has a long and less woolly leaf than red clover. SUTTONS' GIANT HYBRID COW CLOVER (Trifolium pratense hybritlium r/ignntcum Suttoui) —A valuable clover introduced by Sutton and Sons, a cross between common red clover and cow grass. On good land prows about three feet high, yields a greater weight per aero than auy other clover, and will often succeed on clover sick land. The seed cannot be distinguished from that of red clover, and consequently spurious stocks cannot be detected by sample. SUTTONS' BOKHARA CLOVER (Mclilolus Leucantha) —Sweet scented clover. Very productive, attaining the height of six feet when in bloom. An excellent plant for bees.
