Tht Waikato Times Office, Friday. AUCKLAND LIVE STOCK MARKET. Mbssus ifuNTKK and Nolan's Rkfort.— Grain, seeds, horse feed, &c. : Supplies have been ample and demand steady for small lines. We quote : Oats from Is 9d to 2a 4d per bushel ; inai/.0, Isßd to 2h; barley.malting,3s (id ; wheat, 4s per bushel; oaten chaff, £210s to £2 15a per ton ; bran, £4. Horses : The market has not been active, nor the 'β-ipply large, but the demand has been Btendy, tin average number subuitted by auction at the Durham Yards on Tuesday, almost without exception, changed h«ods. We quote : HackH, from £4 to £11 Ith ; medium draught £8 5s to £14 10s. Wool, hides, &c, in short supply, without a teration in value. Cattle : There was c insiderable animation in tho market, a g.iod many having been disposed of at prices showing an upward tendency in value ; there was a good mustor at both: Newmarket on Tuesday, and Papakura on Wednesday ; competition was brisk, and prices for dairy and fat stock were in favour of the vendor, while stores freely maintained the previous week's values : Ox beef ranged from 19s to 22a per lOOlbs ; cows, lGs to 18s fid ; some averages of fat steers were £7 10s 9d, £7 14s, £7 13a 9d, £7 10s, £0 5s : cows, £5 4s, £4, £3 15s, £3 10.-", £3 7s lid. On Friday.hnrse stock in usual number sold freely : Unbroken colts, medium strength. £11 : useful working horse 3 £8 to £14 each : cart and harness, £9 5s ; dray, £3 15s ; were the prices, obtained. On Tuesday, hides in ehort supply, prices fnr light hides were from to 2Jd ; medium, 2Jd to 3|d ; heavy, 4gd; calf, 3d to Kgd the lb ; skins at i»le values ; lambs, from Iβ to Iβ 6d ; pelts 9d to 2s 10d each. Wool in increased quantity, mostly lambs, prices for lambs wool, GJd to 6&1 ; cross-bred, locks and pieces, 2d to 3£d the lb. At Pukekohe, on Monday a large muster of stock sold freely, cows, at profit, from £310s to £5 5s ; dry cows, 85s to 45s ; strong calves, 17s 6d to 30s each. At Remuera on Thursday dairy cattle were yardsd in less number than usual. Prices were firm. Those at their profit ranged from £5 to £5 15s each. Store caitle, in moderate numbers, were in demand at higher values than have hitherto ruled. Fat cattle in full supply (245 yarded), sold freely. Steers : Heavy weights, 18s and 19s ; light weights, 20s the lOOlbs. Sheep iu full numbers (1G42 penned). Aged longwoolled store ewes brought, 7s ; merino, 5* each ; fat wethers, from I2s to 10s ; ewes, 7s to 12s ; lambs, 5s 9d to 10s each. Pigs fully kept late values, Useful porkers, from 18s to 25s each.

AUCKLAND PRODUCE MARKETSJ(BY TELEGRAPH.—OWN CORRESPONDENT.) Auckland, Last Night.—ln the local produce market eggs have advanced, in sympathy with the beginning of the Lent season. Prices uve now : Best dairy butter. 9d ; second quality, 7d ; and third quality, 5d per lb wholesale. Eggs have advanced to Is per dozen wholesale, and Is 3d pbr dozen retail.—Potatoes, £3 to £3 10s.
