[ADVT]. THE TAURANGA DISEASE.

TO THK EDITOR. Sir, —A great difference of opinion exists as to the so-called Tauranga sheep disease. If I remember rightly, the report of the Government veterinary, Mr McLean, pretty plainly indicated that debility, consequent on bad management, had more to do with tiie mortality in sheep in the Tau-ra-nga district than any disease peculiar to the locality. The intelligent use of my specific, as demonstrated by tho following testimonials lately received, prove thn correctness of Mr McLean's conclusions and the efficacy of my Anthelmintic. —Yours truly, N. A. Larnet. Morninersids, Tauranga, February 12th, 1892. Mr N. A. Larney, Hamilton, Waikato.— Dear Sir,—Owing to a mortality among lambs and hoggets in our district, I resolved to give your Anthelmintic a trial, and for this purpose purchased 200 lambs, a 100 of which were badly affected with a kind of distemper and were dying at the rate of five per week, the other 100 were net so badly affected. The first lot had to be driven twenty miles to my farm with a dray in attendance, which was well filled with weak lambs by the time it reached its destination : three days later I gave the first dose and from that day the mortality ceased, I have not lost a single lamb since. All are now strong and healthy with a good growth of wool. I have given three doses as prescribed by your pamphlet. Seeing the tuccess attending this I purchased fifty hoggets that were badly affected, and they are now quite recovered. —Yours faithfully, (Sgd) D. Lundon.

Copt extract of letter received from Mr R. Sedden, dated 18th January, 1892.— " I have much pleasure in advising you that your Anthelmintic has given satisfaction. Last February the lambs were wasting away with the disease, after the first dose the mortality ceased, and two more doses made them quite healthy. This season's lambs showed signs of disease in November, and three doses have thoroughly cured them. Last February when I dosed there was not a lamb that weighed 201b, they did well during the winter, and to-day I killed one (2-tooth wether) that weighed 771b. This speaks well for the Anthelmintic." Tauranga, February 12th, 1892. New Zealand Loan and Mercantile Agency Company, Hamilton.—Dear Sir, — I felt an interest in this district and resolved to save its name if passible by finding a cure for our lambs; this I have found in Larney's Anthelmintic. All I ask in return is that you send me a good supply of pamphlets for distribution in my district. I will aend you a couple more from others.— Yours faithfully, (Sgd) D. Lundon. Brazil farmers are making more money growing grapes than coffee. Mr G. Scarborough, Hamilton, offers ten shillings reward for information leading to recovery of a bay mare. It is one of the sights of Auckland to inspect Arthur Nathan's Tea Blending and Packing Rooms. Quiet an army of men and boys are employed to supply the ever increasing demand for his " Reliable " Tea. / 160.
