Nominations for Handicap Hurdles, Te Aroha Jockey Club Handicap, Railway Plate Handicap, und Handicap Pony Race must be made to the Secretary, Te Aroha, before 8 p.m. on Wednesday, February 24th, 189/. Weights will appear on or about Tuesday, March Ist. Entries for Maiden Plate and District Hack Race must be made before 8 p.m. on Tuesday, March Bth. The age and pedigree of horses and their performances must be sent in, ad* dressed to the Secretary, with nominations. In the event of horse-owners not complying with this rule they will be subject to disqualification by the Stewards. All protests must be made in writing to the Secretary within ten minutes after the race, accompanied by £1 Is, which shall be forfeited to the Club if the protest is dismissed. The Stewards' aeci-

sion to be final. The colours of riders must be sent in with entries. Jockeys not riding in the colours entered will be tined £1 Is. No nomination or acceptance will be received on any pretence whatever after the hour named, or without bemt» accompanied by the necessary amount of cash.
