[by telegraph—fresh association.] TIMARU, Last Night. The balance sheet of the Atlas Milling Company shows the profit to be £4,343 after writing off nearly £500 for depreciation. A dividend of 10 per cent, was declared. Dry winds having made the crops nt for carting after the rain farmers are rushing the work, and the demand for men is in excess of the supply. Two shillings and 2s 6d an hour is paid in many cases and even 4s has been offered for additional men who are not to be had. The rush can only last a few days. CHRISTCHURCH, Last Night, It is announced that Lodge Greytown, No. 1720, E.C., h-is joined the Masonic Grand Lodge of New Zealand, which has now 76 lodges under its jurisdiction. Emmanuel, cook of the American ship Everest, was to-day committed for trial on a charge of wilfully setting fire to the ship while in the graving dock.
