A SUCCESSFUL CO-OPERATIVE SOCIETY.
(BY TELEGRAPH.—PRESS ASSOCIATION'.) CmsisrcHUßCH, Last Night. The first annual meeting of the Canterbury Farmers Co-operative Association was held to-day. The directors report which was adopted recommended the payment of a dividend of 5 per cent, per annum, and stated that the gross premium during the year on the risks taken by the Company amount to fire, £14,39; murine, £1,050. £242 of the file premiums and £1,801 of the marine premiums have baen paid as reinsurances. The losses paid and ascertained at December 31 amount to, fire, £120, marine, £189. After providing for the appropriation of £451 sufficient to reinsure the current risks, together with £107 for directors' anil auditors' fees tho balance available for distribution was £1,054.
