NEWMARKET HANDICAP.
(by electric telegraph.—copyright.) Sydney, February 8. Very little i.s doing over the Newmarket Handicap. Bungebah is favourite at 100 to 14. The other quotations are : 100 to 7 Paris, 100 to 6 Fernando, 100 to 5 Pygmalion.
In onr advertising columns to-day,will be found the full programme of the Ngaruawahia Racing Club's annual meeting, to be held on the club's course on Thursday, March L7th (not 15th as stated iu our Auckland News last is me). The programme which has been passed by the Auckland Racing Club, consists of seven events for which £105 is offered in prizes as follow? :— Hurdles, £15 ; Maiden, £10 ; Cup, £25 ; Novel, £15; Plate, £12; Steeplechase, £20, and Forced Handicap £8. Naminationa for the four principal events close with the Secretary, Mr T. W. Simpson, before 9 p.m., on 27th inst.
