THE LATE CARDINAL.
(IIY KLBCTKIO TBLKUKAI'II. —f'OI'VKIOJIT.) Loxdox, January 21. Upwards of 30,000 people- daily viewed the remains of the late Cardinal Manning while lying in State. Tlhj members of the Dockers Union Temperance Society and other Unions will attend his funeral. January 22. Then! were 10,000 people present at the requiem service over the remains of Cardinal Manning, which took place to-day at the oratory. Amongst the more notable people present were the Dulce of Norfolk, Marquis oi Kipon, Baroness BurduttCouUs, Messrs Justin McCarthy, O'Brien, Dillon, and Archbishops Walsh and Croke.
The Queen and tho Prince of "Wales were represented. Tho Bishop of Clifton conducted the service, and tho Bishop of Newport preached tho funeral sermon. The procession .vhich escorted the remains to Kcnsal Green numbered three hundred carriages, containing the bishops and clergy, members of the Irish party, and representatives of tho Labour Unions.
