WAIKATO HORTICULTURAL SOCIETY.

A wkll attended meeting of the general committee was held at Cambridge on Monday, when the arrangements for the forthcoming autumn show of flowers, fruits, vegetables and farm produce were pushed forward. It was resolved to wait upou the Borough Council with regard to extra accommodation iu connection with the Public Hall.

The Chairman announced that the following donations had been received: Messrs Kempthorno, Prosser and Co,, half-a-ton of manure, to be lirst and second prizes for the best collection of roots and grain ; from the Northern Roller Mills Co., (per Ml- G. J. Neal)solbs Champion flour, for best ehaif of wheat, as delivered tied by binder ; ditto for host sheaf of oats, also tied by binder ; Booth, Miiod:>naldandCi>.,-£l l=, for best bushel of milling wheat, thi3 season's growth; also many ether special prizes. Wβ mention the above so that farmers may be prepared. Tho show will be held on the 17th March—one day only—and the Dis. trict Tratfio Manager of the Railway will be asked to make special arrangements regarding trains for thu conveynuca of ex hibits and passengers. Tha prizo schedule was adopted, and tho meeting adjourned, till Friday evening next at 7 p.m.
