NORTHERN RAILWAY LEAGUE.

(BY TELEGRAPH—OWN CORRESPONDENT.) Auckland, Last Night. At a meeting held to day the Northern Railway League made arrangements for the departure of an exploring party for the Stratford route on Monday next. At present the league expeote the party to consist of Boven, namely, Messrs Cadman, Lawry, and Jackson Palmer, M.H.Rs, Hursthouse and Wilson (surveyors), and Oliphar.t, member of the League, and guide. Mr Hursthnuse has arrived from the South to make all arrangements with the League. The party will goto Te Kuiti by train, then ride to the bush through which they expect to be able to walk in five days, having to carry a swag consisting of a hlanket and about 201b weight of provisions. They then will be met by a party from Stratford, who will supply horses and bring them to the latter t'iwn.
