REPLY TO " WESLEYAN."
TO TUB EDITOR. Sib,—ln The Waikato Times of 7th January appears a letter, signed " Wesleyan," taxing that body with being always begging. There ia this to be said for it that if they are they do not get much assistance from either " Wesleyan " or any of the class that he represents, for I should exptct the church walls to cavß in, or something worse, if " Wesleyan :I or any of his clique were to go to a Wesleyan concert, etc. The Weslayans as a hotly are always to the front at any concert, art union, or whatever is got up by any other church, and that is very often. To see if "Wesleyan" is genuine, and not all blubber, I will agree to put £1 for £1 to any charity if he will do likewise, as I am afraid he is all talk and no do ; and for him to give to any charity will be a change for him, as I think he is more used to the racecourse and totalieator than giving to any public or private charity. If he will only como out of his shell and disclose his own name, the real Wesleyans of Hamilton will be able to hold their own, even agains-t such a Wesleyan (?) 33 he appears to be.—l am, etc., E. T. Davei.
