(HV ELKOTHIC TEI.KGIUrH.— COI'YKIGHT). LoxDo.v, January 1. Ax explosion took placo to-day under the Council Chambers in tlir; Dublin Cm-sMo. resulting in serious wreckage to the building. Exports declare that tlin explosive used was guncottoii. The Council should have met thio afternoon. Many workmen were employed in the precincts of the build • ing, but at the time of the explosion ware absent at lunch. Cne of the high officials of the Council bad only viiciited tho room two minutes previous to the explosion. It is supposed that explosives hiidbetn placed in tho cellar underneath the Council room.
Ja.mary 2. No clue has been discovered to the perpetrators of tho dastardly outrago at Dublin Custle.
