HiTxrniEUS of thousands of acres in the vicinity of Biookcniir. in tho Riverina district, have been laid waste by tho bush fire, which is the largest ever known in thsit part of tho colony. Tho lire, which was caused by a child treading ou a wax match, is still burning, and, as the weather is hot, it will continue unless ruin falls. It is calculated that it will take two or three seisons to restore the #russ to the condition it was in previous to the tire.
