On Monday afternoon Dr. Hinders was sent for, a.nd he at once, I understind, been,lie alarmed as to the sta'o of the deceased's health, but it was not until yesterday that it becamo generally known that there was i'liiniuent danger and the news was soon apread about that Mr Blythe was suffering from poisoning. He was insensible for some hours before death supervened which occurred at!) p.m. Deceased was a faithful and old public servant, being for some years in the Waikato and is well known I believe about Hamilton and Hontlv. He has been connect vi with this neighbourhood during the past seven or eight years and did much useful work ; h" had about 500 miles of road under his supervision, and has been busily engaged of late in tho Tokauno di-'rict where there is a large amount ot new road work* boing carried on. lie devoted a good deal of attention to photography ami il is feared that some of the chemicals used in that business was the poison which caused his death.
