REMARKABLE SURGICAL OPERATION.
An extraordinary operation was performed at the General HoapHal, Birmingham, on Saturday, A middle-aged woman from Walsall was admitted into the institution i,u order to have a horn whioh resembled that of a rum, removed from her head. The excrescence was quite hard, and extended in curves from the top of the forehead and over the skull to the nape of the neclc, its length being eight or nine inches . The first appearance of the protunion wan about aix veara ago, when a hard substance, which tho woman thought to be a wart, made its appearance on her forehead. Although it gradually increased iu size, she felt 110 pain. To hide it from observation sho combed her hair over it, and wore a thick wool net. The operation of removal was successfully performed.
