POSTAL NOTICE.
Chriutmas and New Year's Day will be obseivod as a close holiday at tho post and tolegraph office. On Boxing-Day the office will be open in nil branches from 9 a.m. to 10 a.m. Tho following alterations will bo made in the hours of closing mails :—For Auckland and intermediate offices, at 7.30 p.m. on Thtirsdiy, tho 21th inst. (for dospatch by early excursion train on 20th). Fjr Te Awamutu, Cambridge, Te Aroha, Lichfield, and iutormediati) offices, at 11.30 a.m. on Saturday, the 20th inst. All mails' usually despatched on Friday, Ist January, will bo closed at 7.30 p.m. on the previous evoning.
