At the Police Court, Hamilton, yesterday j mornine, before Messrs John Knox and ' Isaac Coatos, J.P.s., John Woods was ! charged with unlawfully playing a game of 1 chance on Claudelands racecourse on Satur- ■ j day last. Prisoner pleaded Ruilty, and was j fined £6 and costs 7s, or one month's im- i prisonment in default. The fine was paid, j Tho pris'mor was warned that if similar ; offences were committed the fullestpenalty j would be indicted.
