THE UNTIMELY DEATH OF MRS RD. REYNOLDS.

Thk biidy of Mrs Kd. Reynolds was found floating amongst tho timber in the booms, near the Waikato bridge, at Cambridge, on Thursday morning, iibnut 7.45 a.m. This clearly proves that the conjectures of the search party were correct, viz.. that the deoßiiaeil lady had met her death by drownin the Waikato River, and although her untimely end must be a source of great Krief to the family, nevertheless, it will be a satisfaction for them to have pmnt of the manner iu which sha met her diwtb, and lay her body with those of deceased relatives :itid friends. An inquest- wa* held at the Masonic Hotel, by Mr W. X. Searancke, coronor, at 3.30 p.m., when a tordict of " found drowned " was returned. Tlie •nly witnesses examined were Dra. Oushney and Waddington and Constable Brennan. The first mentioned certified as ti the cause of de.ith, Hit) second, as to the state of Mrs Reynolds' health, and the hut as to the finding of the body. The funeral t ink place ii.t 4 p.m. and was largely attended (nearly forty busies were present and a hunt of horsemen), but if there had been time to make it known the number would have been more than doubled, for the deceased hulv was greatly loved and much respected. Mr Reynolds has the sympathy <if everyone in this his sad bereavement, and we can assure him that the deceased is mourned not by relatives only, but also by a large circlfl of fi-Htids and acquaintance who knew her worth.
